Riding on a white horse, From the sky far away,
He had come down to me,
Like a bright sunny ray.
Twinkling were his eyes,
Smile soothing like a dew,
He was singing my own songs,
Playing music that was new.
I wanted the red of love,
for all my delight.
But he gave me a flower,
that was all white.
I glanced through his eyes,
questioning in despair,
he just gave a smile,
spreading mist in the air.
He then rode back his way,
I held the rose white,
Holding his charm in my heart,
and
tears which I couldn't hide.
I felt a sharp prick of a thorn,
The hand was all in red.
Here was the beautiful color,
On the rose it got spread.
There did I learn,
what he had come to convey,
"Take up some pain, give yourself away,
Then you'll have the red, color your way."

Wonderful as usual.. it has expressed all the feelings of a heart that has risen in love. I Love your simplicity Ma'am, rings the bells of my heart !

I love the subtle paradox here. Plus The selflessness exibited is really inspiring. Altruism is indeed a subtle cure to pain we absorb from others...
