The Wait

This one small moment which has never passed,
When I look at the moon, and think of you,
I am jealous, he knows where you stay,
He knows everything that i don't do !

Your faint face and memories untouched,
I feel in my breathe, the fragrance that's you,
All in my heart is your reflection,
Just you and only you, in every day new !

In all my prayers, my God smiles at me,
says - "O flower, your rebirth is near,
I am going to send you your fragrance,
wear it in your soul, my delicate dear!"

You are my life, sacred in the heart,
Bestowed in warmth since last many births,
We have been walking along towards HIM,
Coming again and again on the earth !

Tired of searching you in other's eyes,
Painting you in the panaromas i see,
Fighting wars with trickery and vice,
I found a truth, I have to wait, however long it be...

All my life, i shall sing for your smile,
All my days, i shall live for you,
The moment of wait is a painful truth,
But i shall spend it with my hope that's You!

Decision

Meek and weak in front of my soul,

stood that something which had put me on hold,

Oh how i wanted to shun it away,

Oh how i struggled to get my way,

I was heading to a way untold,

Haulted steps, nothing to hold,

Hurt and hurting, limping and stumbling,

Lost and confused, moaning and grumbling,

I gave up my hope, felt i would die,

no glimpse of air, no space to fly!

Hah ! just then , from somewhere deep within,

A spark of strength , said - 'Get up, Stand up, go ahead and win !'

I held the strong chains, broke them apart !!!

Cling by cling, i freed my heart,

To breathe in the air of freedom's esteem,

I took a decision to follow my dream।

Meek and weak in front of my soul,

stood that something which had put me on hold !

I do not know if there's a straight way,

That will lead me to where you stay,
The place which would be my home,
Where all my songs would be the holy 'Om'.
Where i would be nothing but you O' Light,
Where 'i' shall be lost in your ray bright !
Every happening reveals your play,
Every little step takes me to your way,
Every thing around is in a different hue,
Masked seems the truth, still revealed are you !
Every new face i meet , i see, Oh wonder,
Your Smile behind the veil i find yonder...
You whisper it through everything around,
Every creature echoes your word loud-

15th August – The Independence day!

"Oh ! What a glory, we are Indians" – we say,

The Tricolor flutters in air with pride,

My India today looks just like a bride !,

The bravery of the Martyrs is being sung aloud,

The "Sacrifice Stories" being listened to by the crowd.

Statues of great leaders, stand decorated,

Each spirit held high, each heart elated !,

The National anthem echoes from each and every corner,

All heads are bent in Mother India’s honor.

Oh ! What a spirit, What a grand celebration !!

The air abounds with joy, its smells exhilaration !

But ….. !!! What’s that has changed the scene suddenly to horror ?

Oh ! It’s a bomb blast ! It’s death and it’s terror !!!

A single minute of silence…...

thereafter the screaming sorrow….

A blood filled scene….

From where should life be borrowed ??

Statues and dead bodies.. lie still on the earth,

There’s no difference now !!! Is this life’s worth?

The Tricolor is now nowhere to be seen,

Lost are the meanings of saffron, white and green,

16th August – The next new day !

"Oh ! What a pity these are Indians’ – other’s say.

O dear fellowmen, where are those spirits?

Where has the power gone?

Why are we so weak?

How could Evil strike the winning gong?

Let’s wake up dear Indians !

Let’s come to know that we’re asleep !

Let’s fight this evil out !

Let’s not sit and weep !

Let’s take up a pledge,

to free the golden bird,

Let it flutter its wings freely,

and see a beautiful world !

A ray of light on the darkest route,

A spark of life on the deadly drought,

A flame of strength on the wet earth,

I dream of you bringing a new birth !

A rugged path of thorns you take,

The sleeping eyes see you awake,

Merrily struggling in the truth's realm,

Twinkling tears revealing the heart,

Fire taking its place to start,

In the ocean's truth, all set to dive,

The dreams of the youth work in the air,

The roar of the lion, flees the despair,

The Journey ended there !

It started with two friends together,

with promises so big and strong,

Wondered how they used to be,

singing together the friendship song.

The days passed fleeting fast,

All seasons they saw in the past,

A day came, when they got parted,

in different direcions, they had started,

They exchanged gifts of their feathers

-"we cannot trust the changing weather,

through this we'll always be together,

when we meet, we'll spot each other"

Still being together, apart they did fly,

They parted with tears, hopes sailing high.

And one fine day, weather changed to worse,

There came a spell, the friendship was cursed.

Both of them were carried to the way wrong,

Puzzled and tense, they struggled all along,

The storm wanted the precious friendship feathers,

It tried both of them, until their lives got withered,

And then it clinged the neck of one of the two,

Asking of the feather, friend's life in lieu,

A decision was made, the hearty gift was lost,

One life was spared at another's cost.

Lost was the hope, broken was the heart,

But somehow to the goal, they had to start,

Coming to the day, when the goal was near,

They parted forever, 'The journey ended there !'

We belong to thee...

Oh father almighty, where are you,
We your children are looking for you,
The bliss so sweet, the warmth of yours,
Oh we long for the heavenly downpours !

We tried making it all green,
full of love and beauty serene.
but failed big time, knowing ur words,
we crushed all flowers,killed all birds !

Now the pain is to swollow our lives,
Pricking our hearts are the dreadful knives,
of hatred, strife and words uncanny,
We are bound by enemies so many !

We want to love, don't want this hate,
We want to praise, not to curse the fate,
Give us the strength,help us through,
We are you children, we belong to you !

Reminiscence...

Few unspoken words,

some unadmired images,
some unbalanced emotions,
and piercing thoughts,
some unconveyed messages,
some left-out conversations,
the incomplete sharings,
some tattered and broken promises,
few gifts of aspirations,
few undreamt dreams,
few missed tears and smiles,
and last and the most beautiful ..
a smile with the divine sheen.....
Just reminiscence, nothing else !

Cry for the lost !

For the lost, you cry and cry,
For the bygone, you sigh and sigh.
Just then life comes to you,
With a new gift and grace,
But you are too busy crying,
for the gift to be embraced,
And the moment life starts,
moving ahead with the time,
You run after it to catch it,
And you get not even a dime,
You stumble down and fall,
To be happy, you cease to try,
Again, for the bygone, you sigh and sigh.
Again, for the lost, you cry and cry !

Find and follow thee...

Behind all the matter, all non matter,
behind the sorrow and all the joy,
I see a unique force, strong and bright,
driving each cell, driving each toy....
I wish to seek it, to follow it and find,
From where does it come to action,
and whom to me does it bind ???
Is it far or near, real or illusion,
I need to go ahead and see,
That's the purpose i am living for,
Just to find and follow thee !!!!

The Tear...

It started taking shape in the heart,
Which had been shred into parts,
The heart so tender, alive, joyously greeting,
The part so small, withered, still beating,
It oozed out and rose a little high,
The force it got from a deep sigh,
I had closed my eyes to see the face,
Smiling, adoring, loving embrace,
Just then, the dream got a gentle hiccup,
Ahh, the tear came out to wake me up !
Just a small drop from the ocean within,
Carrying the truth, in its shell so thin !
It rolled through my cheeks down to the earth,
A plant of a feeling hence took a birth !

The Star

I looked at the sky, just to be sad,
I could not see the sun, nor the light,
I sat down, head low, eyes swollen,
then i looked up again....
Ahh, I saw a twinkling star !
I was struck by its power, kept looking at it...
and received an enormous light in a while !!!
It was far away from me,
but was enough to bring back my smile....!

Take us back in your heart !"

On one hopeless and breathless day,
my tender heart's pieces lay,
in the debris of the life game,
where each piece was calling my name,
pleading-'With you we'll make a start,
Take us back in your heart !'

One piece had mother's warmth,
The other had friend's care,
One had a listening ear,
The other had so much to share,
Crying together, all apart,
saying-'With you we'll make a start,
'Take us back in your heart !"

I offered it all to HIM, my divine,
He just gifted me a silver thread,
Which ran through each of the tiny,
It gave them their real bread,
They started glowing together still apart,

The heart is sounding hollow,
The mind has nothing to do,
Life wants to run fast,
and I stand gazing at you,

A thought's knocking my door !
